“…and what about the individual?”

So much energy and time are invested in defining what constitutes an excellent organisation, a great work place, an efficient and effective quality system and so on and how to achieve it. However, the individual as a balanced personality is the structural block for all of that and of course for the society in general. But, what are the characteristics of this EXEMPLUM individual that an organization will entrust its prosperity on? Can each and every employee be an integrated and aligned Quality Leader at his/her place of work? The most important characteristic of such individuals is that they do not wonder about in life, both personal and business. They follow a journey to a selected Destination. What are the simple and structured steps one could take to organize this journey to a desired destination ? We are not all meant to change the world BUT we can definitely change OUR world.

Industry 4.0 is shaping the traditional manufacturing industries. New technologies like artificial intelligence, advanced data analytics, collaborative robots and cloud based data sharing is offering a lot of opportunities to increase performance and quality along the value chain. This will also have high impact on classic quality management tools, functions and roles and skills within the organization. BCG is preparing a study to analyze this impact. The EOQ strategy in a Global Perspective

2:30pm - The My EOQ concept

What is the concept of my EOQ

“My EOQ” is the product warehouse of EOQ. The idea is to collect all loose ends of the EOQ products, and was conceived in an Ex Board meeting Bodrum in September 2014, proposed by President George Georgiades. A first step was presented in the 2014 Leuven GA. The target was initially to create a standard communication and marketing strategy for EOQ products and services to its members and their markets. An Ex Board internal working group with Konrad Scheiber, QA, Etienne Casal, QF, Dr. Eric Janssens, EOQ and Torolf Paulshus, NFKR, was established to develop the solution.
At the EOQ GA in Warsaw in December 2015, the main concept now named “My EOQ”, was presented and approved for implementation.
The My EOQ process covers how EOQ as an organisation acquires products, organise it, harmonise and market through NRs.

EOQ strategy process and highlights
EOQ strategy, main actions and portfolio

The EOQ strategy gives the direction and agenda for the future. EOQ need to define and know its playground in the future. Being an association of 26 autonomous national quality organisations, an important part of the strategy process is to engage, coordinate and integrate to get there.
Enabling and facilitation of the new strategy into values for the members and society, also requires timely workover and updating of the EOQ working platform. Both functionally and structurally. Adding a layer in the change process is the digitalisation.
