During the last 12 years, Erick Perruche has been Head of Quality and Improvement Processes in Aéroports de Lyon [Lyon Airport], leading the way to the European Excellence Award – obtained by the end of 2016.
Now retired, he acts as a speaker and develops Excellence approaches especially in the world of Services. He is also Foreign Trade Advisor of France, and VP in a company, implementing missions in the field of “facilities management” abroad.
// YOU BELONG TO THE ORGANIZATION TEAM, BUT YOU ARE ABOVE ALL A QUALITY MANAGER, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FORM THIS CONGRESS ?
For this Congress, as an attendant and actor, I expect two things :
Thanks to the different sessions, I would like to perceive the evolutions, progress, of the community. I am waiting more specifically for presentations of best practices, but also from a purely intellectual point of view, I would appreciate to identify weak signals dealing with Industry and Services environment. What will be the tomorrow Quality ?
I have some ideas and passions, and would like to live an international cross-check of my points of view !
// WHY ARE YOU IMPLIED IN THE ORGANIZATION ? WHAT WERE YOUR MOTIVATIONS ?
The main reason is that I’m now retired, thus I feel more free and have more time to promote Quality in France and in Europe, and to get in touch with other sectors of activity than air transportation.
Secondly, having worked during 12 years on technical issues, then 15 years in Consulting, and afterwards 12 years in an airport, with European colleagues, it seems to me necessary, today, to contribute to the welcoming process of the European community, whose members have chosen France for this Congress. I’m committed with all my heart : my feeling is to be legitimate, and I’m fully happy to prepare this welcoming process. It’s always a pleasure and certainly a honor to receive guests at home !

// WHAT IS YOUR ROLE INSIDE THE STEERING COMMITTEE ? WHAT DOES IT CONSIST IN ?
Regarding my experience and network, I do contribute to the organization of sessions looking for potential speakers or chaimen. I’ve launched something like fifteen invitations among my network, and I follow next steps at this very moment.
Afterwards, in a Lecture Committee configuration, I read the proposals (so called “papers”) sent by the potential speakers : are they adapted ? what could be recommended to improve their content ? in which sequence of the Congress would it be appropriate to integrate the presentations ?
The third mission will be to master the associated logistics, as far as speakers are concerned : finding a flight for them, facilitating their arrival, …
